18U Manager, Anthony Perry has officially named Mike Oliveira as his assistant for the Silverhawks’ 2012 Season.

Bob Anderson, 16/17U Manager

Bob is a lifelong resident of the North Shore and has been playing baseball for 35 years.  At 16 years old, he won the Babe Ruth Board of Director’s Award for the best 16-year-old player in the North Shore League.  He played varsity baseball at Beverly High School and in the spring of 1985, he participated in outdoor track as well, an unprecedented two varsity sports in the same season.  He set two school track records that still stand today while leading the baseball team to the state tournament, pick

Kyle Gauthier Commits to University of Hartford

 Kyle Gauthier has recently committed to the University of Hartford on a baseball scholarship. Hartford, a Division 1 America East Conference institution competes against schools such as UMaine, Binghamton and Stony Brook.

Michael Dotto, Director of Academic Achievement

The Silverhawks recently announced Michael Dotto as Director of Academic Achievement.  An important aspect of player development is academics, that's why we use the term student-athlete; the student comes first. 

Silverhawks Baseball Releases Proshop on Cyber Monday

 On Monday the 28th of November, the Silverhawks release their long awaited online store. Cyber Monday' Quickly Became One of the Biggest Online Shopping Days of the Year. The online store features Akadema equipment, Reebok Equipment, and Accessories. Silverhawk Apparel will be released soon. The online store allows people to purchase equipment, accessories and apparel online with a credit card.

David Maher: Player Spotlight

David Maher has been a part of the Silverhawk's Baseball Organization since 2009, the team's inaugural season. David posted a .341 batting average with one homerun and a .943 fielding percentage. His 16U team became the 2010 16U East Coast National Tournament Champions at Baseball Heaven 2010, and the 16U Dan Duquette Tournament Runner-ups. David is going into his senior year at St. Johns Prep. As a sophomore David was awarded the Junior Varsity Player of the Year for his baseball team at St. Johns Prep.

Joey Faiella: BoSox Essay Contest Winner

Joey Faiella, a member of our 14U Silver team won an essay contest that led him to join the  Jason Varitek and Dustin Pedroia Summer Baseball Camp presented by the RBI Academy at Stonehill College. The trip included five days of top-level instruction on the fundamentals of hitting, pitching, fielding, throwing, catching, and baserunning.

Faiella participated in daily games, instructional drills, and received a team photograph with Sox players. The camp ran from July 31 to Aug. 5 at Stonehill College in North Easton. All applicants were asked to submit a short essay explaining why they would like to attend the camp. Faiella had a great time and experience, he had the opportunity to meet Dustin Pedroia, Jason Varitek, Nomar Garcipara at the camp.

Silverhawks Staff Nominated for Yawkey League Awards

The Silverhawks Organization would like to congratulate Pat Spellman, John Moore, and Anthony Perry for being nominated for various awards following their 2011 Yawkey League Seasons. Pat Spellman is a special assistant to the Silverhawks organization as well as a program development instructor. Pat was nominated for the YBL Manager of the Year. John Moore, our Field Coordinator and 15U Manager was nominated as Executive and Gentleman of the Year.
