LSU Eunice Invites Ty Kennedy
Ty Kennedy, a standout shortstop in the Silverhawks baseball organization was invited for a private workout by LSU Eunice with the programs intent of offering him a scholarship. LSU Eunice is one of the best Junior College Baseball programs in the country. LSU Eunice has won many conference titles and National Championships and with the coaching of Jeff Willis, they have never finished a season lower than the ranking of seventh (7th) in the nation. The LSU Eunice baseball team (52-13) defeated UConn Avery Point by a score of 10-2 to win the NJCAA National Championship. The Championship makes the second in three years for the Bengals and the third in the past five years (LSU Eunice Athletics). Eunice has produced and will continue to produce many players drafted into Major League Baseball Organizations through their program. In fact, LSU Eunice baseball is represented by players in 20 out of the 30 Major League Baseball teams. When Silverhawks Director of Program Development and Current Seattle Mariners Midwest Crosschecker Jeremy Booth worked for the Milwaukee Brewers, he drafted one player from the Eunice program and one player who had committed to attend. Both are prospects in the Brewers Organization. LSU Eunice is a feeder program for the better Division 1 schools in the S.E.C., Big 12, Conference USA, and Southland Conference. It is a must see every year for the top baseball four-year schools and the Major League Baseball scouting community to see professional prospects. Ty was recommended to the LSUE staff by Jeremy and they have been aggressively pursuing him ever since. The Silverhawks Organization strives to help its players in achieving their aspirations. Ty is the latest to join a list of many other players that have been assisted with college placement by Silverhawks Baseball and its staff.
