Kyle Gauthier Commits to University of Hartford

Kyle Gauthier has recently committed to the University of Hartford on a baseball scholarship. Hartford, a Division 1 America East Conference institution competes against schools such as UMaine, Binghamton and Stony Brook.

Outside of Kyle’s professional baseball ambitions, Kyle would like to study physical therapy and get certified on his path to ultimately receiving his doctorate degree. When Kyle was asked why he chose the Hartford program he said, “They were the front runner from the beginning, they had everything I wanted and more. Starting with physical therapy they have a great program that will challenge me in the classroom. On the baseball part of things, Coach Blood is a great guy. He is easy to relate to and knows his stuff; he wants to win and has the drive to build the Hartford program up from the ground. I did not see most of these elements at other schools. I have yet to talk to a coach that is more driven than Coach Blood." Kyles 4.32 High School GPA shows that he is also very driven in the classroom.

Former Silverhawks Baseball Coach Dean Thoennes mentioned that, Kyle has a future in baseball not only because he has great command of his fastball, but also because he is a great person on the field and in the dugout.
