Jeremy Booth - President, Director of Program Development
Originally from California, Jeremy attended Beverly Hills High School and is a member of their Athletic Hall of Fame. During his 3 year high school Varsity Baseball career from 1992-94 he established 14 State of California records, some of which still stand today. In 1993 and 1994, he was a Collegiate Baseball Pre and Post-season All-American, Mizuno USA Dream Team All-American, Los Angeles Westside Player of the Year for the Los Angeles Times and Evening Outlook, Cal-Hi Sports 1st Team All-State of California and 1st Team All California Interscholastic Federation. He also entered the 1994 season as the 3rd ranked prospect in the state of California and top ranked amateur catcher in the country. Once leaving High School, Jeremy enrolled at Cypress College and ranks in their top ten in several career offensive categories, as well as helping to lead the Chargers to an appearance in the California State Finals and an Orange Empire Conference Championship. While at Cypress, he was a First Team All-Conference, First team All-State, First Team All-American in 1996 and inducted into their Hall of Fame. In 1997, Jeremy transferred to New Mexico State University and was the only player to finish in the top five (5) players in every offensive category in the Big West Conference in 1997. Following his Junior Season at NMSU, Jeremy began his 10 year professional playing career which spanned both the Milwaukee Brewers and Tampa Bay Devil Rays organizations, as well as playing Internationally in the Liga de Norte Sonora in Mexico and various independent leagues. Upon completing his playing career, Jeremy was hired by the Sussex Skyhawks in the Can-Am League as their Hitting Coach and Assistant Director of Baseball Operations. During his stint in Sussex, seven (7) players had the best offensive seasons of their careers and two (2) returned to Major League Organizations. Today, he is currently entering his 16th year in Professional Baseball.
James Kennedy - Vice President, General Manager
James Kennedy is a longtime New England resident. He has been an active figure in youth baseball for the last two decades. James has vast experience in the private sector, as he has successfully run a business for 25 years. He is extremely active with all sponsors, vendors, fund-raising, and protecting the interests of Silverhawks players and families. He has been charged with ensuring organizational growth since our inception, and on his watch SHB has grown 800 percent in 3 years. He is the central liaison between the families and the development staff, and supervises the day-to-day operations of Silverhawks Baseball in Boston. Cameron Knight - Assistant GM- Chief Marketing Officer, Director of Business Relations
Cameron Knight is one of the top young and upcoming minds in the industries of business, marketing, and advertising. He has interned for the Lowell Spinners and the Nashua Silver Knights. He is also a student athlete at Colby-Sawyer College. Additionally, he has been mentored by Jeremy Booth for six years and is an assistant general manager for the Silverhawks program. Richard Kipp - Director of Marketing and Social Media, Website Administrator
Richard Kipp has always been an entrepreneur and a natural businessman. Richard is a graduate of Colby-Sawyer College, Richard graduated with a Bachelors in Sport Management with a Business minor, and is using his skills to get the Silverhawks into the public’s eye. Pat Spellman - Assistant Director of Program Development
Pat Spellman has been involved in amateur baseball in the Greater Boston Area for the last 20 years at all levels. At the High School level, Pat was the Varsity Baseball Coach at St.Clements High School from 1998 to 1999. Pat was brought to the Silverhawks to pass his experience on and train the infielders and catchers.
From 2005 to 2006 he was the manager of the Chelsea Royals in the Yawkey Baseball League, Bostons premier amateur summer/college baseball league that is recognized nationally.In 2007, Pat was named the manager of a Yawkey League expansion franchise;The Malden Bulldogs. As the manager of the Bulldogs, Pat compiled a 92-35 record while leading his teams to two semi finals and a finals appearance. To date there have been two Yawkey League Cy Young Award winners and several League Silver Slugger award winners on his rosters. Pat has also been heavily involved in youth baseball in his home town of Medford as manager of the 2009 13U Lou Tompkins team which made an appearance in the finals. He was also involved as the Player Director of the 2010 14U and 2011 15U team. His last position in Medford amateur baseball was as the Post 45 Legion Baseball field manager in 2010. Pat was also heavily involved in the Tufts Baseball Clinics for 5 years, donating his time to the development of countless youth. Additionally, he was one of the founders and lead instructors of Game 7 Baseball with Jeremy Booth and Kevin McGovern. This organization directly preceded what is now known as Silverhawks Baseball as well as Game 7 Sports Training.

Mark Burke - Special Assistant, Program Development, Hitting Coordinator
Mark is heavily involved in hitting instruction and outfield defensive training. He spent 11 years in the minor leagues as a professional baseball player. Upon finishing his senior season at Portland State University, he was drafted by the Atlanta Braves in the 26th round of the 1997 draft. In all, Mark played for ten organizations, spanning eight separate leagues, including a Winter Ball season in Colombia, South America. 2005 marked his first stint as a player and hitting coach for the road team, Can-Am Grays. Mark retired from professional baseball in 2007, where his duties included Assistant Director of Baseball Operations, Director of Corporate Sales, Hitting and Infield Coach, and First Basemen.
Anthony Perry- 18U Manager, Catching Coordinator
Anthony Perry is entering his first season as Head Baseball Coach of Rivier College. Perry graduated from Fisher College and posted a .355 collegiate career batting average with a school record of 69 stolen bases. Perry played two seasons in the Independent Atlantic League alongside Jeremy Booth for the Nashua Pride in 2006 under former major league manager, and Boston Red Sox third basemen, Butch Hobson. Bob Anderson- 16/17U Manager
Bob is a lifelong resident of the North Shore and has been playing baseball for 35 years. At 16 years old, he won the Babe Ruth Board of Director’s Award for the best 16-year-old player in the North Shore League. He played varsity baseball at Beverly High School and in the spring of 1985, he participated in outdoor track as well, an unprecedented two varsity sports in the same season. He set two school track records that still stand today while leading the baseball team to the state tournament, picking up the Best Pitcher Award along the way, as well as being named to three All-Star teams. In his one year at North Shore Community College, he was a member of the Greater Boston Small College Conference championship team as a first baseman, centerfielder and pitcher. He then transferred to Westfield State College where he started for three years, leading the team in victories his senior year.
After college, he played three years in the North Shore Baseball League (NSBL) before joining a national tournament modified softball team. At this time, he also joined the Intertown Baseball League (ITL) playing for Essex, Rockport and Beverly, in ten years appearing in the finals six times, winning three championships. In 2007, Bob joined the Boston Men’s Senior Baseball League (MSBL), playing for the Newton Red Sox who were in the finals three out of the last five years, winning two championships. Michael Dotto- 16/17U Coach, Director of Academic Achievement
Michael Dotto has been involved in amateur baseball in the Greater Boston Area for more than 30 years at all levels. Michael has provided guidance and instruction to emerging players in Boston, Medford and the South Shore areas from Babe Ruth through AAU. At the High School level, Michael has coached at Christopher Columbus High School.
As a player, Michael has played through the High School (Christopher Columbus) and college (Boston College) levels, as well as a number of Boston area adult leagues.As a business professional, Michael has managed successful teams in the areas of operations and investment management for more than 20 years. Michael also teaches at the University of Massachusetts in Boston.
John Moore, Tournament Director/Field Coordinator, 15U Black Manager
John Moore grew up in the inner city of Boston within the housing projects of Roslindale, Ma. He found his love for baseball at an early age playing in the Parkway Little League until moving to Somerville, Ma. There he continued his baseball within West Somerville Little League and Somerville Babe Ruth. After leaving Somerville High School for Minuteman Regional in Lexington, Ma he was named to the Commonwealth Athletic Conference 1st team All Stars squad 3 years in a row in both baseball and hockey and was named league MVP his senior year in baseball. John was also a 2 sport athlete at Roger Williams University in Bristol, RI. "Smokey" Moore has been involved in the Greater Boston Baseball scene as a player or coach since 1985 when he played and pitched for Mass Envelope in the Boston Park League while in High School. During the late 80's and 90's he played within the Intercity League for the Augustine A's franchise and briefly for Elm Supply - Cassell Club. Smokey got his start in coaching and instructing kids in 1985 within the Somerville Little League system and hasn't stopped since. He has coached in his hometown of Revere, Ma with the local Revere Cal Ripken and Revere Little League programs where he served for many years on the Board of Director's of Revere's Cal Ripken program for over 400 boys and girls. John has also been involved in coaching within AAU baseball in the New England area for the past several years with the Boston Jr. Rams and the New England Stampede which he helped co-found in 2009. John played for many years with the Boston Men's Baseball League (MABL-MSBL) where he was instrumental in forming several teams. John has been involved with "Winterball" which is a charity baseball game played in December to help benefit the Greater Boston "Toys For Tots" program. That game had its origin with the Boston Men's Baseball League but has since been opened up for all greater Boston baseball players including the Yawkey League of Boston,Boston Park League and Intercity League. John has been an Asst. Coach for the Malden Bulldogs of the Yawkey League since 2009 and currently serves on the Board of Director's for the Yawkey League of Boston. John "Smokey" Moore currently resides in Revere, Ma with his wife and 2 children (Samantha 18 & Zack 15)
Rich Angelo, 14U Silver Manager
Rich Angelo played high school baseball in Connecticut. He eventually became a pitcher and played for the college of the Holy Cross, a division 1 baseball team. Rich is going into his second year as the varsity coach for Saugus High School. His coaching helped lead Saugus to win two state tournament games including a win versus #1 seed Madison Park in 2010.
Elio Espino 13U Coach
Born and raised in Boston, MA, Elio has played and learned about the game of baseball under the perspective of Jeremy Booth since he was 13 years old. Elio attended Trinity Catholic High School as a three year varsity player. After high school, he went on to attend Massachusetts Bay Community College and saw playing time his freshman year. After a successful freshman year, Elio transitioned to the coaching side and was a coach’s assistant for Mass Bay’s baseball team. Shane Kelly 14U Black Manager
Shane was a Boston Herald, All Scholastic player his junior and senior year at Watertown High school. He played Division 1 baseball for the University of Texas (Longhorns) throughout his sophomore year until an injury occurred which cut his college baseball career short. Since the end of his college baseball career he has been involved with youth baseball at many different levels. Shane has a strong passion for coaching and teaching the game of baseball.
Joe Massa- Director of Player Procurement, 12U Manager
Joe grew up in Boston and played baseball Malden Catholic High School. Following High School, he was inducted into the Malden Catholic Hall of Fame. He then continued his career as a four year scholarship baseball player at the University of Maine. He has maintained ties to the community managing in Everett Little League while holding the position of Vice President. As a manager, he managed the 11 year-old All-Stars to a Massachusetts State Championship in 2008. He is also familiar with AAU baseball, because in 2009 he managed the Boston Jr. Rams 12 year-old team. He currently manages in Everett Little League’s Majors Division and Everett Babe Ruth. His Babe Ruth team won the 2010 Championship, and he managed the Everett 10 year-old All-Stars to an undefeated record in the District 12 Jimmy Fund Tournament. With his strong community ties to the areas of Everett, Malden, Melrose, and Somerville, Joe has developed personal and business relationships and is a trusted community member. Kevin McGovern - Medical Pitching Consultant
Dr. Kevin J McGovern PT, CSCS graduated Northeastern University in 1994 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Physical Therapy. He received his Certified Strength and Conditioning specialty in 2002. He earned his Doctorate from Simmons College in 2005.
Specializing in shoulder rehabilitation, spinal therapy, and movement mechanics of the body, he invented the McGovern Movement Score (MMS) which measures the quality of basic human movements. The shoulder section of this exam is a predictor of possible future injury.
Dr. McGovern has been analyzing the biomechanics of baseball pitchers and hitters, and golfers for over 15 years in order to improve athletic results.
His real passion is baseball. He has been playing baseball for 30 years and spent a season with the Nashua Pride as their therapist and strength coach. He continues to pitch in a high level men’s league in the Boston area.
Dr. McGovern has parlayed his physical therapy expertise and baseball passion into a niche by specializing in treating pitchers from Little League to the professional level. He treats pitchers on preventative, rehabilitative, and on a sports performance level. He is a successful pitching coach who gives private lessons. Dr. McGovern’s program takes a pitcher from the initial injury back to the mound. His unique mechanical changes produce unbelievable results to aid the return from injury and the prevention of future injury.
Dr. McGovern is the founder of McGovern Physical Therapy Associates, a 2010 recipient of the Inc. Magazine 5000, a list of the 5000 top growing companies. He is also the founder of Game 7 Sports Training, a medically designed strength and conditioning company and Velocity Rx, a medical pitching instruction company.

Peter Soteropoulos - Special Assistant, Program Development, Pitching Coordinator
Peter is a local resident who went to Peabody high school. His talents led him to play division one baseball at the University of Connecticut. He was not only the team MVP in 2003, but he was an All-Big East conference player. He was soon drafted by the St Louis Cardinals in 2003 and played for the Greek Olympic team in 2004. Peter now is an assistant coach for Peabody high and is recognized across New England for his work with young hitters and pitchers. Peter is a pitching instructor and consultant for the Silverhawks Baseball Organization and we are proud to have him become a part of our staff.
